Cultivating a Culture of Learning
This course is designed to provide strategies and tools for district and building leaders to cultivate a culture of learning through a culture of feedback for growth.
This course is designed for educators seeking to understand and implement strategies and tools to build a collaborative community of adult learners. This self-paced course explores definitions of culture and climate and how feedback cycles can be designed to increase both self- and collective efficacy among staff. The course centers on our 5 core attributes of a Culture of Learning.
Leveraging these attributes, the course provides sample tools, outlines specific steps, and integrates supportive readings from both of our books–Feedback to Feed Forward and Learner-Focused Feedback. Through carefully designed activities, schools are supported in implementation of new systems and structures that renew beliefs, cultivate motivation, and center the perception of each members of the educational community about the impact they have on students. Through the development of a collaborative, shared focus on learning–cultivating a culture of feedback– teachers, coaches, and administrators build a collaborative culture that supports learning for all.
"The Tepper and Flynn team have been instruments of positive change in our school. Through embedded professional learning grounded in their Three Legged Stool framework, the team builds learning that leads adult learners from one level of learning to the next, and the work continuously evolves, based on specific data points, to ensure all students thrive and succeed. The impact on our students and staff has been astounding, and we look forward to continuing our work with the team at Tepper and Flynn next year."
~ Marjorie Rice, Principal McDonough Middle School
The course is designed for any educational leader seeking to understand how they can inspire a culture shift within their school or district.
